About
Learn basic quilting skills and use the AccuQuilt fabric cutter to make a table runner.
About this Class
Make this cheerful table runner and get a jump on welcoming spring 2023.This class is perfect for the beginner sewist and those who want to build quilting skills.
Learn to make half-square triangle blocks (a very common - and easy - quilt block), using the AccuQuilt fabric cutting system, making basic cuts with a rotary cutter, quilting with a walking foot, finishing edges with no fuss, and chain piecing your blocks to keep them all organized.
You should be able to sew a straight stitch. If you’re bringing your own machine, you should be able to thread it, change the feet, and attach a walking foot (we can always check the internet together, if needed).
This class is part of our spring table linen series. Join us and dress your table with beautiful handmade napkins, place mats, and a table runner!

Instructor
Dawna Ellis began sewing more than 50 years ago as a young Girl Scout. Nurturing those skills led her to become a costume designer and fabricator in the theatrical industry for 30 years. That experience and exposure to working with textiles in often unconventional ways solidified her love of textiles and their endless possibilities. Dawna continues to explore techniques to develop and hone her skills, is an avid quilter, and lives in Poulsbo with her husband and two dogs.
