Gain confidence in using a wide array of power tools safely in this three-week component of BARN's Intro to Woodworking series.

You will build a sturdy, two-step stepstool of solid wood and plywood. The project was specifically designed to give you experience with the most common stationary and portable tools in the woodshop:

  • table saw
  • band saw
  • miter saw
  • jointer
  • planer
  • drill press
  • oscilating spindle sander
  • router
  • biscuit joiner
  • hand drill
  • impact driver
  • random orbit sander

Details:

  • * Beginners are welcome, but you must first complete our free, one-hour Orientation to the Woodshop class plus Woodshop Tool Safety Checkout 1 and 2. If you have not taken these classes, please register for them before you sign up for this class.
  • If you want to take our full Beginning Woodworking series, you can take this class or Beginning Woodworking: Hand Tools in either order. Both classes are required to take Beginning Woodworking: Design & Build a Table.
