About

While there is nothing inherently wrong with snapshots, you can easily do so much better using a series of simple techniques introduced in this workshop. Creating more lasting images that capture the feeling you had when you took the picture is not hard. It just requires a little more thought before you press the shutter. This workshop will give you the tools and techniques to take your pictures to the next level, independent of your camera from smart phones to DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex). Technical details will be avoided. Instead, we will explore how to see and capture the best images that memorialize and document an event, trip, people and place.

Additional Notes:
Attendees are encouraged to submit anonymously-sourced (no embarrassments!) photos that may be used as examples in the “before and after” tricks and tips section. You can submit a few photos via email to krothmuller@gmail.com or bring them in on a thumb drive or camera card before class. At the end of the class each attendee will receive a carry-around tip card.

He has taught photo workshops and photography courses at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA. You can reach Ken at: krothmuller@gmail.com
