About

Please join us for a class that combines sewing and bookmaking, and finish two projects:

Sometimes called the traditional name Asa-No-Ha Toji (Hemp Leaf Binding), Japanese stab bound books are a beautiful way to bind single sheets together to make a book form.

On the first day, we will decorate a box and fill it with sampler stitch patterns and templates.  You'll go home with a handsome box filled with stitch designs and the skills to make many more templates, and endless stitch designs.

On the second day, we'll make a small side-sewn scrapbook specially designed to accommodate the additions of photographs and other memorabilia.

This promises to be both a satisfying and productive 8 hours, split over two days.

A Materials fee of $10 will be added when you register.

This class is being offered by MJ Linford.  Although some bookbinding experience is helpful, it is not necessary to be successful in this class.
