About
**This workshop will be live-streamed via Zoom. Class time is Pacific Time**
The resurgence of the slow-fashion movement has brought about a greater awareness of just how much of a throw-away attitude we have taken regarding our clothes. Something gets a hole or a snag in it and we throw it out and buy something new. The only thing that needs to be thrown away is that attitude.
Visible mending is simply the practice of using mending and reinforcing techniques on your clothes in such a way that the results are… well… visible. Let’s take the principles of Boro to repair and beautify any old, worn-out garment making it something new and exciting.
Beginners encouraged – No experience necessary! Recycling, repairing, and reworking textiles using boro is perfect for the maker who is ready to try something new and exciting. Even if you have never done any hand sewing or embroidery, this is the class for you!
