About

BARN member $72 (two sessions)
Non-member $79

Saturdays, April 11 and 18

"Mirror, mirror, on the wall…  Who's the fairest of them all?"  Clearly, your mirror will be the fairest of them all by the end of this workshop, where you will create a framed broken-glass mosaic mirror that is gorgeous.

The workshop meets for two sessions, three hours each time.  During that time you will learn to combine colors, cut glass, create a pattern or design, and apply adhesive. You will grout your project during the final class.

Creating a mosaic mirror, applying adhesive, and grouting are easy, and you do not need prior experien

ce

with glass or previous knowledge of the mosaic process.

The 20-inch by 14-inch mirror will look stunning on any wall in your home or office!

This class has a materials fee of $40 for a mirror frame and adhesive and grout.  This fee is due to the instructor at the time of the class.  All other supplies will be provided.  If you have special pieces of glass or pottery that you want to use, bring them along.  Participants should bring an apron and sturdy shoes (no flip flops or open sandals, please.)

Instructor:  Elaine Greene has been a ceramic and mixed media artist for over thirty years. She owned her own hand painted Italian pottery business in the wine country of Northern California for over fifteen years, selling her work to wineries and retail storesout of her studio in Healdsburg, CA.  Elaine also taught art at non-profit art organizations to children and adults for several years.

After many years of creating pottery, Elaine started experimenting with mosaic techniques, fusing glass, torching enamel and expanding her knowledge of different mediums. As a mixed media artist, Elaine loves to incorporate these different mediums into her handmade paper mache art.

Her work is sold at shows and privately. She originally moved to Bainbridge Island in 2008 and works out of her home studio. Elaine is a member of the steering committee for the BARN Glass Studio.
