About

Cancelled the class before it was posted, will offer again in the future

This class has prerequisites please see details below before you register.

This 2 session chain making class is designed for students looking to hone their previous experience with tool and torch skills. The instructor will provide demonstrations. With guided hands-on repetition, a chain link necklace is a great project to help improve your skills. In this class, we will be using copper wire to learn the process and decide on a clasp design. Then sterling silver wire for your final project piece you get to take home.

All materials and tools will be provided for use during the class.

Instructor Bio:

Sarah Jones is a BARN founding member, jewelry studio programming and steering committee member. She is a local Bainbridge Island artist, and teacher with experience in fine metal arts, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, stained glass, and photography.

Because Sarah is a visual and tactile learner herself, her classes typically involve a lot of hands-on learning time. In addition, Sarah’s classes are accompanied by printed information and resources for her students to refer back to when practicing their new skills.

Sarah’s art has been displayed in the Seattle Metals Guild exhibitions and Bainbridge Arts & Craft exhibitions.
