Whether you've kept a journal for years or are trying it for the first time, BARN’s weekly Community Journaling Club will help you expand your journaling practice. This session offers a dedicated time for journaling in the Writers’ Studio, together with the camaraderie of a group of people exploring a wide variety of journaling topics, techniques, materials, and formats. Discover whatever unique blend of writing and artistic drawing/sketches that works for you.

Perhaps you want to create a visual nature or travel journal full of sketches, deepen your life experiences through journaling, or set aside time to focus on writing. Whatever your goals, we hope you’ll join us to share your experiences and learn new techniques for capturing your thoughts and ideas in your journal.

Details

• Skill level: No prior experience or skill required.
• This is a peer group for practicing and learning together in a supportive environment (not an instructor-led class).
• Each session begins with a brief discussion and suggested writing prompt, followed by quiet time to write and/or draw in your journal. We wrap up with optional sharing of techniques and any "aha" moments you want to share.
• Bring your own journal/paper/sketchbook and something to write/draw with.
• Although free, we ask that you please register.
