About

Please note the date change!  At some point, a long roll of wallpaper samples was donated to BARN's Print & Book Arts Studio by local designers Abnormals Anonymous. The samples are printed on high-quality mylar with images of crustaceans, their “Lobby” design in the color “Midnight Run.”

These crustaceans are beauties, but we weren’t sure what to do with them, so we decided to challenge the BARN community to get creative. We'll give you a 2-foot-square of a beautifully printed wallpaper sample for you to take and create something with. Make anything! We'll gather Feb. 8 to share those creations. We can’t wait to see what you make!

Details

  • How and when to pick up your sheet: There is a stack of printed crustaceans in the studio with a signup sheet. Take one rectangle (one per participant, please) and put your name and contact info on the signup sheet. Take a sheet at anytime before Feb. 8 or until they’re gone, whichever comes first.
  • How to share your work: Join us in the studio Feb. 8 to share what you made, whether it succeeded or not! We’d love to hear how you thought about what to do and how you found the material to work with.
  • If you can’t make it to the gathering, you're welcome to send pictures of what you made and any thoughts to share  to print.lead@bainbridgebarn.org. We'll share your work digitally with the group (although it’s more fun if you share with us in person!).
