About

Get the tools and inspiration to turn your worn-out garments, socks, and other items into works of art! You'll learn the utilitarian way of darning socks, decorative patching of pants, and even how to creatively cover up those moth-eaten sweater holes.

Bring in your holiest clothes, and we'll make them fun and useful again!

Details

  • Bring old clothes in need of mending, and any embroidery floss or wool yarn you might want to use.

Class Policies

Ages 14 and up are welcome.

Instructor
Dana Seeger

Dana Harris Seeger was born in San Francisco and split her childhood between California and Indiana. She pursued her passion in high school and college and received a bachelor's degree in painting from Anderson University in Indiana in 2004 and a master's in fine arts in printmaking from San Jose State University in 2011. She is a member of the California Society of Printmakers. In 2014, Dana co-created an art studio and school in San Jose, Calif., called the School of Visual Philosophy. Her work in printmaking and painting helps her connect real to imagined memories and her life experiences to her heritage. Growing up as a second-generation Baltic American, she has always tried to connect the artifacts acquired from Estonia and Latvia into her own story. She lives in Poulsbo with her husband (a sculptor), daughter, and twin sons. Visit her website at www.danaharrisseeger.com
