About

BARN members: $27 (1 session)
Non-members: $30

Make a wire wrapped bracelet and a pair of earrings as you learn the basics of this versatile aspect of jewelry making.

Wirework is a great addition to all beaded jewelry and the primary method used to make earrings. You will learn several basic wire wrapping techniques and the essential tools needed when working with wire. We’ll discuss wire properties, gauges and metals, as well as tools and techniques.

Beginners are welcome, including teens 14 years old and older. Please bring a $15 materials fee, payable to the instructor at the class. The studio will have all the  tools needed, but please bring your own if you have them. Bring your own beads. Beads will also be available for purchase if you need them.

INSTRUCTOR: Amy Margaret Kapphan has a bachelor of fine arts degree in metal design from the University of Washington in Seattle. She taught jewelry making at Beads of Bainbridge in Winslow and various other bead stores. Her jewelry is sold online at amymargaret.com.
