About

Canceled because instructor had an emergency. Registrants have been notified. Class will be rescheduled.~Tammie 5-26-19

In this hands-on electronics session we call a "Build-Along," you get a small electronics kit to build during the session. It's yours to take home with you.

We provide the kit, tools, materials as well as assistance assembling and soldering your kit.

New to soldering? This is a fun, satisfying way to learn and get help. Semi-experienced, or an electronics whiz? That works, too, because it's always fun to practice and make something. You may even pick up a few tips along the way.

About the Kit for This Build-Along

The TV-B-Gone is an intriguing gadget that turns off (or on) almost any television. Best to let the maker explain:

The TV-B-Gone® Kit is a great way to teach about electronics. When soldered together, it allows you to turn off almost any television within 150 feet or more. It works on over 230 total power codes - 115 American/Asian and another 115 European codes.

Show your friends and family how technologically savvy you are, and entertain them with the power of the TV-B-Gone®!

The inventor of the device is one of the founding members of Noisebridge, the highly regarded makerspace in San Francisco. Learn more about TV-B-Gone® here.

Materials: $25 covers the cost of the electronics kit and supplies and will be added to the cost of your class.

Skill Level: All levels. Beginner friendly. Fun for experts.

Ages: Ages 12+

Instructor Bio: Matt Carrig is a designer currently working in graphics + architecture.
