About
**This workshop will be live streamed via Zoom.**
Celebrate Pi Day (3.14) with the BARN ETA studio!
Raspberry Pi is a core part of digital making. A small circuit board that is a full-fledged computer, you can use it to learn programming or make incredible things. A Raspberry Pi Zero costs a mere $5 while the most powerful version costs only $35.
"Taste of Pi" will serve up some fun show-and-tell, let you interact with the projects made by studio Pi enthusiasts and talk to the makers.
Projects range from basic to really cool. We're still finalizing the menu, but here are some possibilities cooked up by studio members:
- Raspberry Pi for use as a computer workstation (most basic)
- OctoPi (a snappy web interface for controlling 3D printers)
- Kubernetes cluster
- RetroPie + media player
- Several Google AIY variants + touch screens
- AlexaPi (Amazon Alexa running on a Pi)
- Time lapse videos made entirely on a Pi -- image capture to final video uploaded to YouTube
- Twitter bot that posts photos to Twitter
New to Raspberry Pi? Come check it out. Don't know what to do with your Pi? We have lots of ideas. Can't figure something out? ETA is a great place to be.
Raspberry Pi is a product of the UK-based Raspberry Pi Foundation, a charity that works to put the power of digital making into the hands of people all over the world, so they are capable of understanding and shaping our increasingly digital world, able to solve the problems that matter to them, and equipped for the jobs of the future.
