This four hour class will introduce you to the wonderful world of decals and how they can add fun layering depth to your jewelry. You will also learn how to make transfers from your own designs!

You will have access to all of the tools and techniques you learned in the Intro to Enameling Class.

This project class is structured for you to continue your enameling practice and students are encouraged to bring  prepared copper blanks and unfinished pieces from previous classes to maximize their time experimenting with enameling techniques and improving skills.

Details:

  • Prerequisite: Intro to Enameling. See dates and sign up here.
  • $25 materials fee is included in the tuition.
  • BARN is practicing safety measures for the health and well-being of all participants, in accordance with state and CDC guidelines. Masks are required. Please read the overall BARN safety policies here.
  • Please wear closed-toe shoes. Wear hearing protectors when warranted and safety glasses; bring your own or use BARN's. Tie back long hair. Avoid loose-fitting clothing and jewelry; roll up sleeves.

Instructor:

Karin Lee Luvaas is a local Bainbridge Island artist and jeweler. With an art degree in encaustics, painting and metal sculpture, Karin has studied under acclaimed enameling jewelry masters Linda Darty, Jessica Calderwood, Mi-Sook Hur, and Aurélie Guillaume. Karin achieved Graduate Jeweler status under Alan Revere of the world renowned Revere Academy of San Francisco, California, is also a GIA certified Graduate Gemologist and holds a Jewelers of America Bench Jeweler Technician certificate.
