About

This class has prerequisites. Please see the description below before registering.

In this class you will learn some basic drawing and painting skills to enhance your jewelry designs. If you already have drawing and painting experience, this class will build on your skill set. If you haven’t painted since you were a kid (have no fear), we will cover a few tips and tricks to get you jumpstarted!

We will be using liquid (painting) enamels. You will be introduced to acrylic, and oil paints, pigment markers and pencils, and calligraphy pens. At the end of class you will have a piece that can be turned into wearable art and a great technique for future projects.

This is an intermediate class.

Students please bring:

  • Several photos or images as ideas to use as inspiration.
  • To get the most practice time of new techniques learned in this class, please prepare some blanks with base coats in advance.
  • Check the studio calendar for the next enameling open studio.
