About
Join us for out monthly meeting: a community project for Ometepe
we will be meeting at the B.A.R.N. building in Rolling Bay. Our focus this month is on a community project -- seems appropriate given that this is the month of Thanksgiving.
We will be working together to make cloth camera bags for students traveling to Ometepe as part of the Special Needs Committee for the Bainbridge Ometepe Sister Islands Association.
Caroline Cooley Browne and Linda Yonkers are creating a pattern for us to use this Tuesday evening. The goal is to work in teams to cut the fabric and sew the fabric into the camera bags for the students. We will have the fabric for the project. If you have a sewing machine you can bring, or a cutting mat and rotary blade to cut fabric -- please bring them along.
Feel free to also bring snacks for the group -- because I am sure we will all work up an appetite.
AND, we will preview plans for our December 9th Holiday Party that will be held at the Metro Market Cafe and Catering located in the Copper Top Industrial Park. Plans are to make Origami covered strings of lights for the holidays.
AND, Caroline will be offering a preview of the Color Theory program we will be offering for our January meeting.
Lots of very wonderful workshops and programs are in the works for 2015 -- so come share the excitement.
