**This workshop for ages 10-14 will be live streamed via Zoom.**
Join us for a fun hands-on youth craft class over Mid-winter Break! Learn the basics of needle felting, which involves safely using a felting needle to sculpt wool. Make colorful beads and cute critters. Sign up with a friend or make new friends in the class!
This Zoom class will occur over two mornings.
Day One - Tuesday, February 16: Make beads
We will make some felted beads, which will be threaded onto a piece of cord and made into a necklace or keychain. We will learn to make a bead shape and how to add decorative details to the bead.
Day Two - Wednesday, February 17: Make a small needle-felted animal
Learn how to use needle felting to sculpt a small animal of your choice. Starting with a body and head we will learn how to add on legs, feet, ears, tail and other details and characteristics for your chosen animal.
Materials Kit: $15.00 (Includes local delivery only).
The kit will include a small selection of colored wool roving, felting needles in a wood handle, sponge, plus a cord and large needle. These are all the materials you will need for both sessions.

Details:
- This class is for youth 10-14 years old.
- Registration will close on Friday, February 12th at 10:30 AM.
- To register your youth, please put in the "First Name" field your first name then in parenthesis put the youth's first and last name (if different than yours). The email address you register with is where the Zoom link to join the class will be sent to.
- Please complete and return this minor permission form if BARN does not already have one on file for your child from a past class.
- This class will be taught via the Zoom video conferencing program. For a great video on how to use Zoom, watch this tutorial.
- A Zoom link will be sent to the email address you registered with one day prior to each session. Please watch for this email. You may need to check your spam folder for emails from BARN.

Instructor Bio:
Isobel Coney enjoys combining cultural, environmental and historical studies with art, using techniques spanning painting, quilting, felting, knitting, batik, printmaking, hand-made paper and woodland crafts. She has experience teaching in schools and running workshops for adults. She is an active member on the Arts Washington Roster of Teaching Artists and passionate about experimenting with new techniques and sharing that journey with students
