About

*This open studio has a prerequisite. Please see below.

Focused Open Studio for Enameling in BARN’s fully-equipped Jewelry and Fine Metals Studio provides BARN members and the jewelry community a collaborative environment to pursue self-directed work, whether it’s to finish projects from classes or to work on independent projects. This is not a class and no formal instruction will be given. Please see details below.

Some metals are available for purchase (please bring cash or check). Ask the studio monitor for assistance.

A trained safety monitor is always on duty.

Details:

  • Prerequisite: This open studio is for students who have completed an Intro to Enameling class. Please check your BARN account to ensure you have completed this prerequisite by viewing the link for "Registrations and events" in your profile.
  • To get the most out of this enameling open studio, it is recommended to prepare your metal in advance so you can focus on sifting techniques and kiln or torch use.
  • $15 Enamel consumables materials fee is included in your registration.
  • Due to the safety requirements for using dry enamel, Enameling is not offered during regular open studio time.
  • Please click here for BARN's current COVID-19 health & safety protocols.
