Mirrors are reflections of ourselves.  Let your mirror reflect your artistic talent with fused glass--add a little color, add a little light, and add a little fun.  In this three-hour workshop, participants will create a decorative border out of glass.  Then, the glass will be fused in a kiln and ready for the mirror to be added.  It's a perfect gift or decoration for your own wall. 

Don't forget to wear closed toed shoes to the Glass Studio.

INSTRUCTOR: Elaine Greene has been a ceramic and mixed-media artist for over 30 years. She owned her own hand-painted Italian pottery business in the wine country of Northern California for over 15 years, selling her work to wineries and retail stores throughout the U.S. Elaine also taught art to children and adults for several years at non-profit art organizations. 

After 20-plus years of creating pottery, she started experimenting with making mosaics, fusing glass, torching enamel, and expanding her knowledge of different media. Currently a mixed-media artist, Elaine loves to incorporate all of these different media into her artwork.

 Her work is sold at shows and privately. She originally moved to Bainbridge Island in 2008 and works out of her home studio. Elaine is a member of the steering committee for the BARN Glass Studio and hopes to expand her class offerings with BARN.
