There was an equipment malfunction in the welding studio. an hour or so before class. This class will be rescheduled. Registrants were notified via vm and email. we are awaiting feedback from students as to a good reschedule date.~tt

Try plasma cutting and welding while making a metal 16-18" evergreen tree. Cut the shapes out of flat sheet steel and weld them together.

Participants will use a hand held plasma cutter to create parts of a tree in 16 gauge steel (roughly 3/32nds) and then weld the pieces together with MIG tack welds.

Details:

•  No experience necessary.  
• There is a $20 materials fee for steel, cutter tip replacements, consumables and PPE that is included in the cost of class.

• Work space is limited on the plasma table.  Students will take turns using the plasma cutters.
  
• The class begins with a safety briefing.
  
• BARN will provide Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  
• Participants must wear long sleeve shirts and pants in natural fiber clothing and closed toe shoes (preferably leather or cotton).  Stretch fabrics are prohibited.
  

Instructor: Henry Sharpe.  Henry is an amateur welder and the studio lead for welding. 

Class size is 3. Minimum class size is 2. If only one student has registered 3 days before the class, the class will be cancelled.
