In this class you will learn to make your own jewelry findings, claps and ear wires. You will learn to create ear wires from scratch. You will also learn how to create a variety of clasp styles ranging from toggles to S clasps to hook and eye.

Details:

• This is a beginning / intermediate level class.  Some wire wrapping experience is helpful but not needed.
  
• $20 materials fee is included in class tuition.
• Please wear closed-toe shoes. Wear hearing protectors when warranted and safety glasses; bring your own or use BARN's. Tie back long hair. Avoid loose-fitting clothing and jewelry; roll up sleeves.

Instructor: Samantha Slater, originally from South Africa, Samantha's life in Seattle has drawn her toward the concepts and process of jewelry making. She taught classes at Fusion Beads for over 10 years, she has also guest lectured at Pratt Fine Arts Center and is currently teaching at  Barn, NW Rockhounds, Seattle Findings, and Schack Art Center, as well as privately at her studio in Seattle. It is her desire to not only create beautiful art and jewelry but share her knowledge so others can do the same.
