About

Looking to explore a new craft? Get ready to unleash your creativity and dive into the world of cartonnage, the traditional art of box making. Cartonnage is the process of covering chipboard with fabric to build beautiful, useful things.

You'll create two cartonnage projects:

  • A Single Box: Craft a chic and sturdy box, ideal for stashing your pens, scissors, rulers,
    paintbrushes, and more.
  • A Reusable Notebook Cover: Make a reusable, stylish 5-inch by 7-inch notebook cover (notebook
included), perfect for capturing your thoughts and ideas.

Don’t miss this opportunity to explore a new craft. There's nothing like turning beautiful fabric into unique, personalized, handcrafted treasures that make wonderful, heartfelt gifts. Let’s create something wonderful together!

Instructor
Cathie Heier

Cathie is happily retired and loves filling her days with family, friends, and crafting! She started crafting at a young age and has found it brings her joy to create. Over the years, she has done sewing, quilting, cross-stitch, paper crafting, wool applique, and basket making, just to name a few. When a friend introduced her to cartonnage four years ago, she was hooked. She loves fabric, and to be able to make such unique things, for herself or to personalize for gifts, is so much fun!
