About
Learn the art of capturing mouth-watering food imagery, from the basics of DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex) cameras and iPhone photography, to styling and composition. In "Styling," you'll learn about planning and more, including the importance of props to enhance visual appeal. You'll get a chance to prepare a plate to present and photograph using the techniques we’ve gone over.
This is part of our “Introduction to Food Photography” series, which begins with an exploration of the significance of food photography in advertising, cookbooks, and culinary blogging. Through demonstrations with a DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex) camera or an iPhone, you’ll be immersed in the fundamentals of photography with a focus on composition, lighting, styling, and editing.
Chef Sandra Mehta will prepare delectable dishes for you to photograph during each session. The series culminates with a final feast-and-capture session, blending the pleasures of dining with the art of photography, and an optional opportunity to showcase your work during our final class.
