This class is for Certificate of Craft students only. 

This two session class will introduce you to the concepts and control of a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milling machine. We will begin with an explanation of the various elements of the machine including the control panel, safety precautions, and how such a machine may be controlled. The CNC Lathe will also be discussed and demonstrated. A 3D model will be viewed in Fusion 360 and G-code will be generated using the CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) portion of Fusion. The G-code will be used to cut the modeled 3D part in metal on the CNC Mill or CNC Lathe.

Details:

• Please wear closed-toe shoes in our studio. Tie back long hair, avoid loose-fitting clothing and jewelry and roll up sleeves. Wear hearing protectors when warranted and safety glasses; bring your own or use BARN's.
