**Limited open studios now available for members. Session may be canceled if there is an increase in coronavirus cases in Kitsap County**

Work on projects of your own choosing in BARN’s fully equipped Jewelry Studio.

Open Studio time allows BARN members a collaborative environment to finish projects from previous or currently enrolled classes, to work on projects of your own choosing, and to have access to an amazing array of jewelry making equipment. A trained safety monitor is always on duty.

Details for registering:

  • Please read the new Jewelry Studio coronavirus safety protocols here.
    • BARN-wide safety protocols can be found here.
  • Free for Members but registration is required. To adhere to safety protocols, occupancy is limited to 4 people plus a monitor in the studio at one time. 
  • There are 3 spots open for general studio usage and 1 spot for the use of the lapidary equipment. (Prerequisite to use lapidary equipment: You must have taken intro to lapidary to use equipment during open studio.) Please choose the appropriate type when you register.
  • If the session fills, please join the waitlist. If someone cancels, you will be notified via email that a spot has opened up.
  • You can check our calendar 24 hours in advance to see if there is still a spot open and also register for that one.
  • To be eligible to work during our Open Studio hours, you must complete a skills assessment session or already be cleared for open studio and have an up to date Skills Card. 
  • Instruction will not be given, open studio time is for self directed working.
  • BARN supplies tools and basic shop supplies, some metals are available for purchase in the studio, please partner with the studio monitor.
  • Safety in the studio!  Please wear close toed shoes, avoid loose clothing, tie long hair back, and refrain from wearing dangling jewelry so it doesn’t injure you or get damaged.  Noisy equipment may warrant wearing hearing protection.  Safety glasses and/or a dust mask must be worn when using specific equipment, please partner with the studio monitor for specifics.
