About

Class canceled: In response to updated guidance from the CDC and the Washington State Department of Health, BARN will continue to be closed through the end of April. 3/23 SK

Join us for this three-session class to design your Delta game “board” and pins in Fusion 360, and then produce your design on the CNC Mill and CNC Lathe.

What’s the Delta game? It’s a board-game in the shape a triangle with 15 holes and 14 pins… jump a pin and remove it until only one pin remains. We’ll work through the geometry of the triangle with some given parameters, sketch the design and extrude it to make the solid in Fusion 360, and do the same with the pin. You’ll perfect your design over the coming week (the instructor will be available to support you in completing your homework). Then we’ll use your design to produce g-code within Fusion 360, load that into the CNC machines, and cut your parts. This will be a fast-paced class, but it will be fun too.

Details:

  • Prerequisites:

We require you take the Intro to CNC Mill and Intro to CNC Lathe classes or have commensurate experience. Please see our calendar here.

  • Tuition assistance is available. Click here to apply.

  •  Prior experience with Fusion 360, and a laptop with Fusion 360 loaded (download here) and running are requirements for this class.

Please contact the instructor for questions.
  • There is a $20 materials fee included in the tuition cost.
