This class will teach you use a milling machine to perform an operation called pocket machining. The pocket is a rectangular feature that has length width and depth. The skills you will gain are layout, edge finding, setup, milling, use of the digital readout and some shop math.

This class is most suitable for those that have had at least one other hands on class.

There will be a $5 material fee included in the price of class.

Teacher Bio:  Jerry Erickson is an engineer, machinist and Inventor . He has been very active in the BARN Metals Fabrication shop and has taught a number of our classes. He works with a number of companies to help them develop new mechanisms and products and improve their existing ones.
