Machine Shop Orientation
Learn basic metal cutting, and the tools used for drilling, turning, milling, sawing, and grinding.
See basic demonstrations of the drill press, lathe, milling machine, cut off saw, and bandsaw. Throughout, safety issues will be emphasized for these powerful and potentially dangerous machines used in the Machine Shop.

- Limited to five students.

Class Policies
- Wear natural-fiber clothing, long pants, long sleeves, and closed-toe shoes (natural fiber or leather). No sandals, stretch fabrics, hoodie ties, or dangling jewelry such as bracelets that can get caught in machinery. Tie back long hair.
- Ages 14 and up are welcome.
