About
Learn how to create and bind your own accordion book! Accordion, or "concertina," binding is a simple form of bookbinding that doesn't require any sewing. You'll learn multiple ways to bind a book in an accordion format, making one or more accordion-style books with decorated pages and hard-bound covers.
First, you'll create hard covers for your books by wrapping bookbinding board with decorative paper. Then, you'll create your book pages, which can made out of one, single, folded sheet of paper; or several sheets of paper that are attached together. You'll decorate your book pages by drawing, painting, and/or collaging in images and text. Finally, you'll combine your covers and pages to produce one-of-a-kind accordion books.
