In this class, you will explore the world of popup books and movable magic…all by making a popup book of your very own, with structures that are sure to amaze and amuse!  We’ll learn the basics of popup structures at the beginning of the class, showing how simple popups can be combined to make incredible effects. Then, we’ll explore classic popup and movable structures in a very cool book with your own personal touches!

You will be provided a standard bookbinding took kit for use during the class, so no need to purchase materials and tools in advance! 

Please bring to class: fun papers, ideas, and a sense of humor.

Instructor: Mary Jeanne Linford has been a professional book artist for over 40 years.  Under the press name Bad Girl Press. she specializes in popup books. Her work can be seen in the book arts room at BIMA, as well as online on YouTube.
