This class was postponed as the teacher will not be available.

This Sunday workshop will offer the opportunity to make a piece of clothing completely your own through simple alterations and a variety of embellishment techniques such as embroidery and visible mending. All skill levels welcome! 

Materials needed (what student should bring): Bring something to personalize! Ideally a garment that you will be able to wear often once you’ve personalized it but not something that feels terribly high pressure. Jean jackets, sweatshirts or tops, or canvas sneakers are great options. Or anything that needs creative mending like torn jeans. 

This Workshop is for Youth between the ages of 14 - 18.

Rose Strasen is a CalArts costume design program grad who got her start as a teenager hand-sewing pieces of vintage dresses together and styling pieces from her dress up bin for photoshoots with her little sister. She currently makes one-off art clothing for Femme Aliens and Victorian club kids.
