**This workshop will be live streamed via Zoom.** 

Be stylin’ by creating your own look! In this virtual class students will learn to make their own baseball and trucker style hats. You will learn the basics of hat making by designing your hats, cutting the patterns, sewing, and individualizing your hats. This class is not appliqueing on existing baseball hats; we will make our own from scratch! Basic sewing skills are required (knowing how to thread a machine, spool a bobbin, and sew a seam are enough!)..

5 sessions: Wednesdays 6-7:30

January 5th-  Introduction and overview, review supplies needed

January 12, 19, 26. February 2: step by step instructions.

All sessions will be recorded, so if you miss a session, you can watch the recording.

Supplies needed: sewing machine, straight pins, an iron, scissors, fabric, and thread.

Billy will review the fabric choices at the introductory meeting. Need some extra fabric or embellishments?  After the January 5th introduction, you can come into the fiber studio and scrounge through our fabric stash. We announce the times at the January 5th session.

Instructor Bio:

Billy Simms is an award winning artist and educator. He holds a BA from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in theatrical scenic and lighting design, an MS from The Johns Hopkins University in special education, and an MFA in studio art from Miami University. He lives in Hamilton, Ohio with his wife and four cats.
