About

Get over the winter blues by challenging yourself creatively!

Join us in the first step to creating a 1 minute short film.  This  could be self written or your own unique take on a famous speech.  It could be a speech from a play or movie, or even a favorite poem. This class is a fun way to challenge yourself creatively and collaborate with others.

The class will take you through the creative process of pre-production.

  • story-boarding
  • look books
  • location scouting
  • casting
  • rehearsing
  • creating your shot list

After this 2 session class, you will have a fully planned out and rehearsed game plan for a future shoot/filming. We will soon have opportunities in for filming, and post production offering open studios so you can shoot and/or edit a film. Watch for announcements soon.

What to bring:

Please bring to the first class a 1-2 minute poem, speech from literature or from a movie that you'd like to re-create in this class. Feel free to bring more than one so we can help you brainstorm ideas and choose.

About the Instructor:
A performer by training, Emma Cameron studied dance, musical theater and acting at Arts Educational, the beautiful Elizabethan Tring Park School in Hertfordshire, England. Work followed: entertaining musical-theater and Shakespeare audiences all over England grounded and inspired her continued film and voice-over work in LA.

Given her contacts in LA, Emma naturally transitioned to corporate work and now produces content for a wide range of companies. Highlights from the last decade include working with US Olympic Gold medalist Misty May and Kerri Walsh for Nike Swim, Lebron James for Nike Basketball and great companies such as Oakley and Jaguar.

Emma enjoys strategizing, brainstorming, creating and collaborating with CEO's and entrepreneurs and in turn helping them grow their business through creating inspiring content.
