About
In case you didn’t know, NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month, a great adventure in writing that happens every year at NaNoWriMo.org where literally (pun intended) hundreds of thousands of aspiring novelists race to put down 50,000 words in 30 days. Although originally intended to be for novel writers only, the event has expanded and really, you can work on whatever writing project you want. There are online forums and Discord communities where you can share ideas and join in word sprints.
For this informal workshop, we’ll look at some ways to get ready for a month of full-out writing, and explore a collection of resources available to help you on your journey. (To get a head start, check out: https://nanowrimo.org/nano-prep-101)
The BARN Writers Studio will have regular (free) write-ins during the month of November where we can cheer each other on and keep the inspiration fires burning. You can always sign on for the regular Tuesday-Thursday Write Now sessions that take place over Zoom to give you even more dedicated writing time.
