About

In this BARN workshop at the Bloedel Reserve, a 150-acre forest garden, you'll experience the nature/creativity connection, be guided through free writing and practice, learn ways to bring nature into your writing and creative processes, and receive feedback on how your projects can incorporate these practices.

Appropriate for all authors and aspiring writers,  the practices can be effective regardless of genre. Spending guided time outside roaming or sitting on the Reserve will be a significant aspect of this workshop.

The students and instructor will create a nurturing, nourishing, creative environment so everyone can flourish. Using TEALarbor stories’ signature practices (TEALarbor stories was founded by the instructor) and processes (rooted in spiritual ecology, overcoming creative blocks, and inner/outer landscape exploration), you will have an opportunity to engage your work and play through new perspectives.

Details

  • You will need to purchase your ticket to Bloedel Reserve in advance of the class. Visit their website page Open Hours & Admission Prices at Bloedel Reserve
  • Bring a few pens, a journal (preferably unlined), weather-appropriate clothing and gear, snack/lunch (if staying for the Landscape Collage Workshop, also set at the Reserve) and water bottle, as well as an open heart and mind.

Class Policies

Ages 14 and up are welcome.
