About

Also known as channa masala, chole is one of the most popular North Indian curries. Spiced chickpea curry is paired with bhatura, a deep-fried flatbread sold piping hot originally on the streets of Delhi, but now popular all over India.

You'll make the chickpea curry as well as a whole wheat version of the bhatura. The process of making channa masala will focus on using whole and ground spices with garbanzo beans, slow-simmered in a caramelized onion-and-tomato gravy.

On the menu

  • Chole: chickpea curry
  • Puri: fried whole wheat flat bread
  • Cucumber raita
  • Kachumber: Indian-style salad
