Create collage prints with found materials, your imagination and just a bit of glue!

This class is for beginner or intermediate print makers who want to try using paper plates and collage techniques to make prints. The class reviews the basics of printmaking, the Print Studio, and using the printing press for collage printing. Various techniques and processes for creating collage plates are demonstrated. You will create your own printing plates and make your own prints. Experimentation is encouraged, along with having fun and exploring printmaking processes.

Instructor:
Marc Cooper - An artist and teacher for many years, Marc has worked as an art director, book designer and as a 2D artist and printmaker. He holds a bachelor of fine arts from the University of North Texas and studied advanced printmaking at the University of Dallas. He taught printmaking at the Dougherty Arts Center in Austin and exhibited in Dallas and Austin. Locally, he has participated in the Front Street Gallery in Poulsbo, and his prints have been selected in juried shows, including the annual Collective Visions Gallery Show. He creates his art in his home studio and at BARN.
