Saturday, November 14 from 11 am to 2 pm

Learn tricks for making pillows like how (and when) to put in a zipper and how to sew a pillow cover with piping. Learn some great tips for how to use up pieces of weaving, fabric that you have painted on or dyed, and small pieces of fabric that you love but don't know what to do with. Mary Terry is an expert seamstress who will be there to ask questions of and help you design, sew, and complete a wonderful pillow cover. She will bring some fabric samples to use as well.

You'll need to bring a sewing machine, thread, pillow form, fabric for pillow cover and other scrap materials (such as weaving samples, fabric samples, trims, lace), and a zipper to fit what size pillow cover you wish to make.

Instructor:  Mary Terry is a local business woman who owned Esther's Fabrics for 13 years before purchasing Dana's Showhouse. Mary & her business partner have owned Dana's for eight years, growing it into Danger and Furnish Bainbridge.  Mary is an avid seamstress, and loves to decorate people's homes. "Comfortable, relaxing , personal homes are my goal."

Having sewn countless slipcovers and many other things, she will share her tips and tricks for creating the perfect pillow cover and more. A talent for sure.
