Join us to for an epic knitting fundraiser to support BARN!

About this Event

Do you remember participating in an elementary school jog-a-thon? Maybe you sponsored a neighborhood kid? This event will be a lot like that, but with knitting! When you register to participate in the event you will receive a document to help you track your sponsors - they can either sponsor for a per/hour amount or for a lump sum. Sponsors do not have to be local if they are willing to send their contributions to BARN. Once you have finished the knitting on the day you can report your hours and let people know how much your total contribution is. Worried about only being able to knit for a short amount of time because of time commitments or physical limitations? We encourage you to consider forming a knitting team with other studio members. 

On the day of the event we will have snacks, hourly breaks for group sketching, communal knitting projects and small knitting challenges to help keep you engaged as the hours pass! Join us for a fun event!

Details:

• Skill Level: All levels welcome!

• Bring sack lunch. BARN has a refrigerator and microwave on the lower level.

Project

Knitting for donation is encouraged, but not required - make what you love!

Materials

• Materials students need to bring:
• Yarn, needles and any notions you think you will want!
• We will have some supplies available, feel free to bring extra materials to donate to the event. Extra materials will either be used in the studio after or will be donated to Kitsap Regional Library knitting circles.
