About

**Postponed per Karin 12/9/19. Instructor unable to teach on these dates. Will reschedule. Registrant notified. SK**

In this two session class students will have the opportunity to make a number of pieces while exploring different styles, designs and techniques. Pre-firing prep will be discussed and implemented.

Session one will include a review of Precious Metal Clay (PMC) basics: rolling, texturing, and cutting, as well as info specific to ring making: shrinkage, sizing, stone setting.

Session two will focus on a variety of finishing techniques that students will practice on newly fired pieces.

Details:

  • This is a beginner all levels class.  Previous PMC experience is helpful but not required.
  • $30 materials fee is included in the class tuition.
  • Please wear closed-toe shoes. Wear hearing protectors when warranted and safety glasses; bring your own or use BARN's. Tie back long hair. Avoid loose-fitting clothing and jewelry; roll up sleeves.

Instructor: Chris Eisenberg discovered beading while recovering from an accident and the resulting traumatic brain injury. Beading was her therapy and credits it for helping her become whole again. Chris has a doctorate in classical piano performance from the University of Northern Colorado and am a performance coach and collaborator at Central Washington University. She has previously taught workshops at the Autumn Artist Retreat and in the Iron Mountain Arts studio near Port Gamble.
