About

This class has been postponed and may be offered in the Spring. Watch for newsletter announcements.

Virginia Davison will bring her shellac plate materials and demonstrate how to make a plate, how to treat the surface to make various textures, how to prepare a plate for printing, and finally how to print.

William Langemack has developed his own use of a wood-burning tool to further affect the plate surface, and will join the demonstration.  They both will have examples of prints, and welcome questions about the process.

Details:

  • Prerequisite: None
  • Feel free to bring a meal or snacks. Food is allowed in the common area adjacent to the studio classroom, and there is a kitchen in which to store and reheat.
