About
Learn how to use Sheet Metal tools and machines to cut, bend and roll metal while you let your imagination fly. We will focus on mastering using the tin snips, the manually operated shear and brake, and the rollers. We will also use the spot welder to incorporate multiple pieces of metal in one sculpture. Instructor will have photos of works to help spur your imagination. Projects could even be small-scale mock-ups for larger steel sculptures.
This class is designed to allow you to experiment with sheet metal and get a feel for what can be accomplished with the material and tools. Bring your creativity!
The Sheet Metal Orientation & Safety class is recommended prior to taking this class. Here is a link to our calendar for the next available classes. Those who have not taken it will need to spend some time during class learning the basics.
Class size is limited to four for safety so the instructor can focus on and assist students.
