About

**Class canceled due to no enrollment per Jeanne. 7/20/21 SK**

* This class has a pre-requisite. Please see below.

Segmented woodturning utilizes many little pieces to create a bigger piece. In this introduction to what can be a very complex area of woodturning, you will learn to lay out, map and turn a simple segmented bowl.

You will cut pieces on the miter saw and table saw, using a variety of strategies that enable you to cut small sections precisely and safely. You will also learn tricks of gluing up and then the techniques necessary to turn a segmented bowl on the lathe.

Segmenting is a great way to utilize scraps to create bowls, sculptures and instruments. This class is designed for both novice and experienced turners.
