Now that you have learned basic sewing skills, take your skills to the next level in this 2-day, hands-on, advanced beginner class. Have fun making the Mail Sack, a cross body bag.  At the completion of class you will have new tools  and a new bag you created yourself!

This class is perfect for sewists wanting to expand their skills by learning to : 

-- make a lining

-- install a zipper

-- sew darts.

basic sewing techniques.  No previous sewing experience required.

You can bring your own sewing machine or use one of ours.

Your copy of the Mail Sack pattern is included with class tuition.  You will receive your copy of the pattern at the first class session.  Fabric and supplies for the project will be reviewed in the first class and should be purchased before the second class.

Supplies to bring for the first class:

• One spool of all purpose thread in white or black to make the technique sample.
• A pair of fabric scissors.
• Glass head pins.
• Fabric marking pen or pencil.
• Sewing machine zipper foot (if bringing your own machine).
• Sewing machine manual (if bringing your own machine).
