In this workshop you will learn how to add a patch or inset pocket to existing clothing you already own. You will make your current wardrobe infinitely more useful! Decide how big a pocket you want to add–what will fit in the pocket? What’s the best place for your pocket?

You will learn how to draft a pocket pattern and add pockets to your garments…but be careful--you may get addicted!

Details

Lots of pocket-sized fabric for pockets and thread will be provided by the instructor as part of the cost of this workshop.

In addition you will need to bring:

• Clothing you would like to retrofit pockets to
• Material for pockets if you want something specific
•  A sewing machine or reserve one BARN's machines when you register

Prerequisites

Fiber Sewing Machine Certification (if using a BARN machine)
