About

This course is for those who want to grow as silk painters. You'll stretch your 15-inch by 60-inch scarf on a frame using the instructor's stretching technique. You'll apply a light coat of H Dupont dye before applying clear Resistad to lock in the color. You'll then apply more dye and colored or clear Resistad in layers, creating a design with depth of color.

You'll be surprised by the results because you'll be painting on the back side of the scarf. You'll wrap and steam-fix your silk using a home-made steamer and wash your silk in class. While your scarf is steam-fixing, you'll have time to start a smaller piece that you can finish at home.

Be adventurous and have fun while learning the basics of color and design!
