Saturday, September 10 from 1-4 pm

Materials Fee: $50 (Payable at beginning of first class.)

Join us in the glass studio for our String Me Along: Make a Stringer Platter fusing class.  You will use two sheets of clear glass and arrange one millimeter “threads” of glass, known as stringers, in any pattern on top to create a beautiful, striped 10 inch by 5 inch platter. Your finished work of art can be a functional serving dish for yourself, you can show it off on a stand, or you can give it as a gift.

This is a beginning to intermediate level class. No experience is necessary.

Instructor: Carol Baker’s introduction to glass art began with stained glass mosaics while she was living in Virginia in 2005.  After completing many mosaic projects and looking for a creative challenge, she purchased her first kiln and Lazy Dog Glass Studio was born.  Carol has always appreciated a more functional form of art and strives to create beautiful pieces that can be enjoyed in everyday life. In 2012, she relocated to Bainbridge Island where she continues to study fused glass and to advance her knowledge of the intricacies of warm glass art.
