About

Summer is here and with it comes the much-anticipated potluck invitation. If planning what to bring to the next barbecue gives you instant anxiety or you just want to mix up your regular dish rotation with something new -- this is for you.

Class kicks off with a refreshing margarita. Even better: you'll learn how to make this delicious citrus beverage for one, for many, and for a party. Next, we explore three go-to party items: classic salsa, pico de gallo and guacamole. Not only will you leave this class ready to feed the crowd at your next potluck, we recommend you prepare to leave that party with some rave reviews!

Details

  • Ages 21 and up
  • A $25 materials fee, included in the cost of the class, covers all materials and ingredients needed.
  • Registration closes July 5.

Project

Students will leave this class with the knowledge and confidence to make four classic sharing items: one cocktail and three popular sharing dishes.

Instructor
Elisha Herzog

Elisha Herzog began experimenting in the kitchen when she was 10, without a recipe but drawing inspiration from Benihana. She went shopping in her family's kitchen to recreate the fried rice she had loved so much the night before. Elisha now calls this technique “Something out of Nothing” or “SOON” cooking. It’s a combination of recollection, intuition, and testing/learning. Elisha swore she’d never return to Bainbridge Island when she left for college. As it turns out, in 2015, while pregnant with her second child, she discovered her parents weren't idiots because Bainbridge Island is a great place to raise a family! She’s called it “home” ever since. See her creations on soonliving.com.
