Drawing Intensive: Unleash Your Creative Vision

Embark on a vibrant artistic journey with our Drawing Intensive summer classes, inspired by the rich heritage of Italian art education. Throughout one immersive week, you'll dive deep into observation and creation, honing your skills in a dynamic learning environment. From mastering the basics of still life to immersing yourself in the organic beauty of nature through plein-air drawing, each session empowers you to explore and express your unique perspective. Join us and discover the joy of bringing your imagination to life on the canvas, where every stroke is an opportunity to reveal the world through your eyes.

 

Details

  • Ages 12-14.
  • Skill Level: Beginner.
  • Wear closed-toe shoes and bring a hat to block the sun, as some classes will be outside.
  • Bring water and a snack.
  • Registration closes Monday, July 15.

 

Details

A $15 materials fee, included in the price of the class, covers all the supplies you'll need.

Instructor
Leah Reuben-Werner

Leah is a native-born Seattlite who grew up in the Madrona District, above Lake Washington’s Leschi Marina. She attended neighborhood schools and is proud to call herself a UW Husky. After some time in LA and New York City, where she worked in musical theater, she returned to Seattle and became an aeronautical drafter for Boeing. Later, in California, she was at the Cortona Library and a variety of prep schools, and she earned a BFA at the San Francisco Art Institute. With her husband, Leif, she lived in Europe for a decade. Upon her return to Seattle, Leah earned an MEd at UW and taught at Pratt Fine Arts, Antioch University, and Islandwood.
