Instructor:

Over the last decade Lauren Campbell has explored painting and printmaking, establishing herself as a prolific Pacific Northwest artist. Primarily self taught in painting, Campbell has shown a deep fascination with color, light, and the regional backdrop through her abstract landscapes. Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh are her main influences, and are apparent in her color palette and subject matter.

While enrolled at the University of Washington, Campbell discovered and fell in love with the printmaking process.  She is now an active member and art instructor at the BARN. "I have noticed my paintings transforming over the years.  They have taken on a printmakers' quality, and my prints a painters'."
